It's your turn!

ExtraWork with a friend:

Take a presentation you have given recently… or look back at the presentation you prepared at the end of Module 4 on ‘Science – Hands on!’

Describe one or two aspects of your presentation, give a conclusion, and ask for questions.

Your partner should:

  • Ask a simple question

  • Ask for more information

  • Ask you to explain again or to explain more clearly.

You should:

  • Listen to each question, paraphrase it to make sure you have understood and answer in a polite and neutral way.

TIP

Prepare for the end of your presentation: write down some questions that you would find very difficult to answer – then decide how you would answer them and write your answers. You will be more confident and ready to end your presentation well. At the end of your question session, remind your audience of your key message.

Check your performance
